i want to fall in love with you

love song for a saviour/jars of clay

the strange thing about christianity is that i still feel alot for God when i listen to songs i used to sing and listen to, in the past and all that.
but recently i feel a whole lack of dis-enthusiasm regarding all things christian.
sermons are the same, people pray too often, everything is connected to God in a boring fashion.

Not that God should be entertaining, he doesnt really owe that to us, does he?
I just feel that this relationship of "religion" i have is solely between me and God. I love and acknowledge and accept him as my lord and saviour, but cannot stand all the things in between.

I dont really like CHURCH PREACH. sometimes its revolting to see the lenghts churches go to, to satisfy their purposes in the name of God. Ooh, donate more money to fulfil God's glory/kingdom/growth. and then they use this money to build a bigger building, with pretty stained glass windows and a shiny golden cross while claiming to be a little more holy because they belong to a decorative temple of God.

and all that talk about men being the head of the household BY friggin default just because the male of the human species is supposedly more blessed or more spiritual or some other shit like that.

i think these are all MAN MADE constructs which are cleverly decorated and backed up by silly literal translations/intepretations of superficial bible verses in an attempt to decieve the mass of christians.who follow blindly and very happily no doubt

of course if you're a super holy devoted christian you'd be wanting to strangle me by now, for speaking of your pure faith so badly. hold on a second, you're christian, christians dont strangle. damn you! christians are not even supposed to harbour thoughts on strangulation! you evil evil one.

but its okay, just go to church this sunday and say you're sorry and God will forgive you little christian persona and you'l be free from sin, a clean and pure slate, ready to start all over again.

Nah, the male being the head of the family has got nothing to do with how much "more holy" the male gender is.

It's just a role assigned to the male. Kinda like dancing. Can't have both partners trying to lead now can we?
