yeah i know its over but found this on some random site
go singapore.

but i knew all along that Miss Universe was always Miss Ang-Moh-verse.
I mean, seriously, when was any asian ever shortlisted other than China for political reasons and India (North Indians, Never South) because of their ang-moh like features?

bias bias world.

well cant say that cos then again Miss Universe was created by Donald Trump who is American who is like the disillusioned world in general who is obbssessed with the western definition of beauty.

longer eyelashes, sharper noses, higher cheek bones, bigger eyes, fairer skin.. the list never ends.

magazines like cleo and seventeen and her world in singapore very much tend to feature and favour ang moh and ang moh looking models (eurasians).just look at their photospreads and magazine covers..its pretty shameful. crapshitfuckingidiots.(looksee the confused cast of lightyears)

magazine editors choose to put angmohs on covers and photospreads cos they sell better, and the crazy fact is that probably do.but continuing to do so only reinforces the 'western is better' image and concept many asians are already brainwashed with.
hollywood moviestars adorn our bedroom walls and we flip through page after page filled with gorgeous western women in glamorous poses.

it is no wonder why we have a twisted image of what beauty is.

how manyatimes have we looked at foreign images of dictated beauty in magazines and wonder why we look so different?

mainstream media tends to neglect anything non-western, and mainstream media drills into us the western way is the only way.

hollywood asian-american actors/actresses are often marginalised and are more often than not given sterotypical asian roles. jacky chan and bruce lee have only ever done kung-fu roles, and lets put it this way, lucy liu wouldnt be considered for the leading role in ally mcbeal.

people. learn to celebrate and embrace the beauty of your own race and culture instead of forever turing to the friggin ang-mohs.

im not racist and anti-western, but its just sad to see non-westerns forever idolising and
putting on a high pedestal their western counterparts. we have to learn to celebrate our differences and embrace our own beauty instead of attempting to imitate another race's.

otherwise its just another form of western colonialisation all over again.
