guys and army; mob mentality.

you know they change in that they start to sprout
vulgarities at any available opportunity.
its disgusting.
maybe they feel they have to live up to this certain code of masculinity made more prevelant during their time in the army.

it would be nice to know that under that vulgarity-sprouting facade there is still a man of decency underneath.

you think ure damn cool, by reciting cheeby and adding fucks in between everysinglesentence?

i think not. its far too obvious that you are a piece of insecure shit because u feel the need to conform and act like every other guy in green uniform.

personally, i don't think it has to do with insecurity... more to do with being part of a group...

the army breaks the individual's will down during BMT, subjecting the boys to physically draining exercises, deprive them of sleep, and making them perform arduous tasks so that they become malleable which can be molded into a fighting unit that follows orders without question... simply put, it's a kind of brainwashing... otherwise, how can you issue an order to kill another human being without the person being revolted by the very idea...

the bonding between the guys during this phase (us - the men, against them - the instructors) forces them to adopt certain accepted "norms" that are part of the group culture... at the same time, they are taught to follow and emulate the alpha-male in the group, who probably uses all the choice hokkien swear words... so the odds are stacked against them not picking up the curses and vulgarities which are part of the accepted group norm...
