the reach out campaign; comes to an end.
he hangs this friday, 2nd december at dawn. his mother would have made the necessary funeral arrangements, if not, the state will cremate the body. no visits are allowed on the day of hanging, one hour visits between the hours of 830 to 930 am and 1230 to 130 pm on thursday will be the final time his mother can bid him goodbye. they will be seperated by a thick sheet of glass, the usual procedure. he will not recieve hugs or kisses, touch is not allowed.
God Bless His Soul.
In my previous post, i mentioned "the law tries to be objective without being subjective": this i pulled off a legal theory book. The law shall be objective, full stop, so the sentence there is not the main issue, really. it is not about the objectivity/subjectivity of the law.
It is more so concerned with the function of the existing law: death penalty/capital punishment for drug traffickers: is it entirely necessary, will it eradicate drug problems, is it the only form of deterrence? It should also Not be mandatory, and lawyers should be allowed to argue for a client, whether he deserves to be put to death, in front of jury/judge, doesnt really matter. The death penalty before application, should be seriously considered, case-by-case basis to prevent haphazard executions in the guise of justice and good law.
