skip and run
i saw a girl skip as she got off the bus today
was she happy? was she merry? did she just consume a cherry?
she started to run
toward a goal? was it three-fold?
the traffic light turned red,
the bus came to a sudden halt,
and she made her way across a busy road, momentarily still in time.

"still in time"? does that mean she got mowed down by a car, so the stillness is like 1-2 seconds before it happens.....
quite tragic if u see it from that perspective eh, such a carefree poem with hidden sadness :D

nonono! hahah not that tragic lah.
it just means the bus stopped cos the traffic light turned red?! like as in to obey the traffic rule. yah and then the girl cross the road lah..what mowed by car! loll. still in time because for a moment, the damn busy road stopped so she could cross.
hahaha so i gather there is definately more than one perspective to an issue. ;)
