oh, idol of singapore!

yah i hear so much bout sg idol but i havent heard any of em sing
apparently it is down to 2- a beng with a funny cat name and a malay dude with the whole malay community behind him.

ah, what can be deduced from this is, only the malays and bengs care to vote?
oh, maybe they have more spare cash on their hands

the most recently voted out and second-runner up was olinda, a girl, who had butch-like tendencies. is she a lesbian? woulda been nice if a girl won. i must say i am really intrigued by this whole lesbianism thing even though i am pretty sure i will never be one. its just different being with a girl i guess.

ok back to idol. u see in every idol show, there are those people who vote and those who dont. i dont vote. simply because it is an utter waste of money. and no one on idol is hot enough to attract my divine attention so that i will willingly pay 50 cents to the affilated phone company.

so if u are an idol on the show you wont want me to be your fan. i will hope and scream and clap when i see my favourite contestant(s) (courtney, chanel cole, casey, angie and dan on australian idol) sing on tv, but i wont vote. and sadly it is the voting the determines the result.

so all in all, judging from the last 2 standing, the malays feel a deep urge to be represented and acknowledged whilst the ah beng kias simply buay tahan all the speak engrish ang-moh-wannabe singers on television.so they whip up their orange ah beng combs, squat by longkang and dial telephone to vote for slyvester.

its all about wanting your own kind on telly and the bunch (fame, fortune, see-i-told-you-my-race-can-make-it, blahblah), wheter or not they can sing.
(ah well then again they probably can (sing) to get this far in the competition or the whole of singapore is too deaf to listen.)
