on a spice-girl high

Much Spice

its amazing how a spice girl song can make you feel so energized, and happy.
all the new songs out there rock usher mario coldplay maroon 5 jay z what not but the spice girls! ahhhhhh. currently listening to stop/spicegirls and wannabe/spicegirls. there's something about their songs that makes you want to jump on your bed in your pjs and lip gloss hair brush in hand jumping up and down shaking your head swishing your hair singing madly dancing like you're on a high.

yeah, a spicegirl high.

Scary Spice.

Posh in her Prime

i always liked posh spice well because, she was posh. no actually i thought she was quite pretty and had her own style. and oh, those legs. but 3 kids and a david beckam later, she seems fame hungry attention seeking and far tooo skinny for her own good. its funny how stardom can erode a superstar. Mel B (Scary) with her big hair was very cool and Mel C (Sporty) was spunky cos she was sporty and had a "nu li" (girl power/strenght) tattoo on her arm. Baby and Ginger spice were just too sweet and big-boobed respectively.

Adobenising pictures are fun, because you put a layer of gloss on your otherwise raw unglam photos and for once, you have a chance to appear erm, airbrushed. here are some pictures i have attempted to edit.

happy after buying 5 dollar sunglasses on bridge road.

miss playing mahjong with my cousins.

i am very hungry now. Woke up at 9 in the am, microwaved a four and twenty chicken and vegetable pie (alas, my dad bought something other than homebrand) which tasted yum, made a cup of hot tetley tea and sat in front of the black box watching french and then russian news. Images of a small french house roughly the size of a 1-room hdb flat surfaced on screen. Something about a poor single mother trying to raise her 4 kids. A hand-written note plastered on the door of her flat with 'merci' scribbled at the bottom. Means 'Thank You' in english. Probably the only french word i understand, aside from bonjour. Its mind-opening, to put it funnily, watching a foreign news broadcast with foregin issues in foreign language you cannot understand. But just by watching the pictures it gives you a whole giagantic insight into the French way of living. No, not all glam and gloss and Paris the city of Luurrve and the Effiel Tower. More so french loaves for breakfast in a humble home normal people with normal problems.

You see, the world is inevitably the same in most dimensions. Only they use a different access code.
